5 Transportation-Themed Restaurants in the U.S.

Racing FoodRestaurant 917 at the Porsche Experience Center – When in Los Angeles a meal at Restaurant 917 is a must! Whether you are craving a burger or prefer steak tartare, a simple salad, or an elegant plate with heirloom tomatoes, burrata, and prosciutto, this is the place! As you eat you can view the driver development track, the wall of Porsche paint colors, and trophy displays.

Ford’s Garage – If you are in Plano, Texas, and want a unique place to dine, then head on over to Ford’s. Offering craft beers, burgers, wings, mac and cheese, and all the fixings and sides one expects at a classic American diner, you won’t go hungry. And while you eat, you can soak up the history of the man who started the automotive industry. The restaurant’s décor includes Ford memorabilia, vintage vehicles, and a Model T suspended above the bar.

Shadow 66 – In Ghent, New York you will find the elite Shadow 66 where French food meets classic American autos. The restaurant is decorated with salvaged walk signs, traffic lights, vintage cars, and other classic auto-related items. However, the menu, which features the Michelin Man, is anything but plebian! Dishes such as beef tenderloin, duck leg confit, Moroccan Couscous, and black sea bass- to name a few- are sure to delight the most refined pallet.

Sunday Motor Co. Café – If you happen to be in Madison, NJ then this place needs to be on your dining itinerary! Known for its picture-worthy menu items and great coffee, it is worth visiting for the food alone. However, add in Porsche memorabilia and garage doors and you are sure to be glad you stopped by.

The Ormond Garage – Daytona, Florida is nearly synonymous with racing. So it is no surprise there are many restaurants with a racing theme. At Ormond Garage, you will find memorabilia that tells the story of Ormond Beach’s racing history. Step back in time as you look at various pieces of artwork, vehicles, trophies, and more, then indulge your tastebuds with culinary fair such as fish-n-chips, a pork belly Cuban, a long list of burgers, and a wide assortment of craft, IPA, and local brews.

Of course, before heading out to visit these dining establishments, you will need to know your ride is running on full! Do this by taking time to top off all fluids, the oil, the octane boost, and more.  A quick visit to AMSOIL dealer, The House of Syn, will ensure you have everything you need to keep your vehicle moving.

Then, with a car filled up and topped off, you can move on to the next part of the program. Now it’s time to Fuel up with a meal that is all about cars, racing, and motorsports!
